M.a.c. Shell Highlighter

The Castañal. PRAVIA.

Pravia
The council is one that more and better preserved specimens of yew, that's at least my sense, has long wanted to get to La Castañal, and after a conversation with Miguel Herrera, who shares an interest in the yews, I I decided to visit the place.

This is a description of a visit, maybe one issue not reflected, but these are the main ones I have met along the route.

At The Castañal, we encounter the surprise that in the chapel of San Antonio Abad, there was a young yew.

After the obligatory visit to the chapel, the property we call "house with granary" we see the first puck of importance, it is a copy of 220 centimeters in circumference, with a excellent condition.

In The Llosina, place of singular beauty, we find this young specimen.

Inside a property called Casa Pepe, a large specimen, which has an optimal state.

At Casa Eduardo monumental we found three copies, but was unable to take his measure, given the rugged terrain.

Perhaps the coolest feature of the yews of the Castañal, is in the so-called Casa El Rubio, and has a perimeter of 293 centimeters.

Along the road, at another property we find a new copy, too monumental.

In House Hortensia find this very issue, which transcends the house categorically.

To end this summary of The Castañal, only remains to mention these trees found in the first house, when it comes to people coming from Ablanedo.

The Grandiella. PILOÑA.

Grandiella
The deviation is in a part of the Alto de la Llama Piloña the council, this is a place which is almost uninhabited, painful journey, that one day must have been a very beautiful place, is now in a terrible state, but resist the yews of the place, the buildings are in ruins materially.
